Ralph, My first car was a 55 Chevy Bel Aire Coupe. For a young gear head, I had the ideal sitiation, my Dad owned a large salvage yard. I took the grille out of an identical Desoto and sawed off two bullits and put it in my '55. Also cut down a set of tail lights out of a 53 Buick and put them in it. Several coats of Hondurus Maroon paint, a red and white naughahide interior, teardrop knobs, a set of baby moons, and everything setting on a 340hp 327ci hooked to a Borg-Warner 4speed and 411 posi-track.
