This is the first time that I have seen this chip and maybe the first time any collector has seen one. Even in Ralph Pollack's authoritative guide to the Chips from the Dutch Caribbean, this chip is only represented by what seems to be a cut out from a chip order card. The color of the chip is a dark blue, but it is said to be black in the guide.
The chip is from the Holiday Inn in Aruba. The casino was opened by Cliff Jones and Jake Kozloff, whose initials appear on the chip. Also on the chip is a Divi Divi tree, a national symbol of Aruba, which grows leaning to one side because of the persistent trade winds on the island. I haven't been this hyped up about a casino chip in a long time. Might be the most valuable one in my collection.
