In addition to Doug Saito's attribution of the RTM chips to Emeryville, I have a business card ( a photodup) of Ray Mangum and Ted Martin as operators of the Yosemite Club in Emeryville. The Emeryville Historical Society's article enumerated all of the operators of that club in case their initials should show up on cardroom chips. I see that at least Mangum also had a club in El Cerrito (please, not El Cerritos)! The Emeryville club was, under California's local option law, legal. I am not sure about the El Cerrito club. That would have been a municipal issue, unless there were illegal games such as roulette and craps.
