I remember it being closed for a while in 1992 while we visited Jack Tar Village... At that time (a few weeks later) we returned and the casino was open, but no table (chips) games were operating. My wife managed to get a few stacks of the $1 BJ chips, then.

As I understood it at the time, the casino never really operated on any definite schedule.. but rather like some of the smaller FWI houses; open when things were busy.
