Dave, Thanks for the information. It's neat knowing they are local chips. I would have never guessed that. I remember years ago, probably back in the 70s, I was at the Waterfront. I do remember some hot blackjack games going on. Never thought about the chips then. Then a few years ago when Jeff Ruby opened the Tropicana on the Newport Levy I saw blackjack games there. I went over one afternoon before things got busy and ask the manager if I could buy some of their chips. I told him I had a friend in Las Vegas that used to work in Newport who was interested in some. He said, sure. He bought out the rack of chips and let me buy a few of each color. In the rack were a half dozen or so La Boom chips. He gave me the yellow 25 cent chip. It's one of my favorites. I'm not sure what I want to do with the Newport Beach chips for now.
