Over the last several years, I have reported many items to Ebay's Safe Harbor when I saw listings that were either deceptive, faked, mis-informed or advertised as something it clearly wasn't.
EVERY SINGLE TIME, the auction ran its course and was not cancelled. It seems that Ebay is more interested in having the item sell, getting their fees, and dealing with it AFTERWARD if there is a problem, and only if the unlucky bidder even notices it and files a complaint.
Once, I even saw a obvious counterfeit $5 Hooters chip where someone had (obviously) glued a color copy live Hooters insert onto a red home use chip and was selling it on Ebay.
I didn't even bother reporting it to Ebay, but forwarded the link to Hooter's security dept. hoping they might tell Ebay to end the auction, but they only replied, "Thanks, we'll watch for fakes on our tables"
