his chips, so one would assume that the seller had some idea of value. We're not talking about getting chips worth hundreds being sold for a few bucks...the chips that Dan noted may be in the $15 to $25 value range. As far as what John B noted above, I wouldn't ever offer MORE than the asking price because of not knowing if circumstances had changed (ie: a box was found at Terry Shaffer's house ). Better example -- I recently bought a Bob Stupak "Happy Holiday" chip from Robert Ciaramella for $8 or so. Someone posted soon after that I got a great deal as one had just sold on for $60. Bob C said "Well then, he got a good deal." True at that time (a coupla months ago) but not AS true nowadays as this chip has recently sold in the $10 range. Would I consider THAT deal taking advantage of someone uniformed or just a good deal? The latter.
As almost everyone here has noted, it was a done deal, accepted by both buyer & seller -- the seller should have stood by his word.
