When I saw the two simultaneous posts, I moved on. The three chips were very nice and definitely underpriced, but I would never consider writing to offer more to undercut the people who beat me to it fair and square. In my opinion, you two were first and the only fair result was to sell it to you with the blessing of the other who tied with you. The other offers should have been ignored. Therefore, canceling the sale is really making an offer, having it accepted and rescinding the offer, probably because they realized they offered the chips are exceptionally low prices. Selling them to you would have been fair to everyone since the other offerors had no business interfering with your deal. I don't see how canceling the deal is fair to anyone except the seller. I think you have every reason to be upset. Had the seller simply said he made a mistake and had not meant to include those chips in the deal, that would have been different, but changing the deal afterwards because he received a bunch of offers, when the chips were offered at a set price is simply wrong to you.
