In today's New York Times there's an article about the problem of using computers (Bots) versus humans on internet gambling sites. It mentions instances where the use of Bots was discovered and money was returned to people who lost to the Bots. The article also said that the Bots were generally not very good but were getting better. 1) How can you tell if a player is real or a computer? 2) If most software isn't very good then why wouldn't an average to above average player welcome them (at least currently)? 3) I've always wondered whether there's a problem with internet poker (humans or computers) with players at a table colluding at another player's expense. 4) Does it matter whether the computer is off line and I simply do what it indicates?
I've never played online so I'm just wondering.
