For a long time I was involved with the MRA - Marketing Research Association. Truth is we did more research outside of "marketing" (health related, for example). But the name was the name...might have been too wordy to include all the types of research done, and the moniker "MHTLGMFSFTGSFGEHFRA" doesn't fit on a pin.
I understand the issue to be all-inclusive, but ya gotta draw the line somewhere...where would you stop?
