I don't know if you or any other members are aware, but it has been suggested and the case pleaded for a name change. I personally feel that our club's name is too restrictive & way too easy to forget and as such, it doesn't present the opportunity to expose our club to those that collect things other than CASINO CHIPS & GAMING TOKENS. And look at ALL THOSE items in your item #3 -- memorabilia, illegal & Seymour-coded chips, fakes & fantasies...are ANY of THOSE items in our club's name? What about slot cards, room keys, ashtrays, matchbooks, silver strikes...also NOT in our club's name. How do we attract & draw-in those people that collect those things?

It should be noted here that this idea of a name change was soundly rejected after some excellent discussion between the BoD members & on the basis of some very sound advice. There was what I consider a small victory for my side which many of you may or may not notice within the next few weeks...we shall see who's observant.

While a name "change" doesn't seem to be in the cards, I would hope that future discussions with the membership & within the BoD would generate ideas as to how better expose our little niche club to those that collect gaming memorabilia & collectibles of all types.
