"If you suggest that the casinos are going to sell direct to the slabbers the entire new release or give them ann unequal advantage,
then I would agree that that would be a HUGE problem. Do we have any information on that being the case?'
I have been involved with the designing and release of LE's from the start of the craze. The above could very well happen!!!! More likely they could get say 100 of a 1,000 release. Slab 20 as MS99999999999999999999999999999. Slab 20 as MS9888888888888888. Some LE collectors would feel the need to have the best, MS99. No problem you say. I say here lies a problem. How many LE collectors will lose interest and quit because they do not want to pay the added slab cost to get the best and do not want to feel they have inferior collections. Same could and would apply to current house chips. This did happen to me and 1,000's of others in the coin hobby. We do not have 1,000's of chip collectors to lose.
"By the way, I thought that LE's were another of those "death of the hobby" issues. Maybe they will be.'
IMO, LE's have attracted more members to the club, than the club had pre 1994.
Some have stayed with LE's others have moved on to obsoletes, but they are still in the club. Anyone that thinks LE's have been bad for the hobby is not lookin at the whole picture.
BTW Bernie, welcome to the hobby and the BB. I think this is the 1st time I've seen you post. Post away and ask questions.
