I knew Bill long before he was a chipper. I always used to see him at the ANA conventions around the country when he was searching for wooden nickels. In fact it was Bill's passion for wooden nickels that prompted the club to begin issuing woods to hand out as promotional gimmicks, advertising our annual convention dates during the annual ANA conventions where Bill was first in line to pick up several.
