Thanks for the link to control panel and how to reset it. Unfortunately the machine only has Win 7 starter so the screens are a little different but I got it fixed and now it works just like I want it to. And I planned on doing just what you suggested with the folders. In fact I have already made up a dummy folder from a few scans I made last year and windows media viewer works just fine on it. I will have a folder for each type of collection. I can do a quick view of all the scans and then page thru it to get to the page I need. I should be able to leave all of the folders open so viewing should be a snap. Now hopefully the battery does last at least the 4 hours advertised.
