Thanks Al for sharing, I'm so fascinated by the history behind casinos especially in small towns. I'm just scratching the surface in casino chip collecting, and my wife & daughter both ride horses, so one aspect of what I've started to collect are any with horse heads (right or left), and those with the horseshoe molds as well. Since my closest NV town is Wendover - I started with that one. One of these day's I'll want to get a chip from the old A-1 club and Jim's casino from there. There's always a good story about some of the torn down casinos. I already have a chip from each of the current casinos there, and even a few from the older ones - like State Line, Silver Smith, Gold Rush, and the Hide-Away.

I'm from an earlier generation, so I'm sure many of you are probably happy to know that some of us still think that a 'hobby' is something fun and interesting (instead of playing video games on the x-box or playstation or texting someone all day long).
