This is the deal...

Soon after discovering the "avatar" feature added by David, I figured out how to use the feature. And then, within a few hours I also figured out that when you change your avatar, the change is retroactive and not just from that point forward. In other words, any past post that has an avatar placeholder will be populated with the current, in-use avatar.

As you are probably aware, the avatar that I was first using was a campaign avatar (Vote for Jim for Secretary) and after seeing it appear in several posts that "I" thought was inappropriate or self-serving, I decided to change the avatar to a more generic, collecting-only themed image.

Whenever I want to promote myself in my campaign, I can choose to do so purposely and not just by default.
