For a couple of reasons

1) This board is NOT THE CLUB !!!!
The club does not run it, monitor it, allow or disallow people from posting here, require a club membership to be here, or have ANYTHING to do with how this board is run.

It is a privately run bulletin board which allows people to express a variety of opinions.
these opinions do not express the opinions on the club or its BOD.

2) The club is never even mentioned in this argument. It is about EBAY, as simple as that.
People post all the time here about contests, Lotto, Sports, Politics, and a variety of other interests. Does that too explain why membership in the is down?

3) What if these people were members of other clubs, Does it reflect badly on those clubs too?
Should people decide whether to be a member of the Bottle Collecting club because of these posts?
What about the ANA, or the NRA? What if you found that one of these guys practiced a certain religion? Would you then expect people to decide whether or not to practice that religion because of what they see on the chipboard?

4) One of the people in the discussion is not even a member and as far as I know has
never been. So why would people decide to join or not join a club that people are not even a current member of?

There are LOTS of reasons to join or not join an organization. But to make that decision based on posts made here on a board that is not affiliated with the in my opinion is just foolish.

You want to base your opinion of the club on what you see on the club board, that’s a different story altogether.
