Hi Cigarman:
British coin.
Side one: Elizabeth II 1952-to date
Cupro-Nickel Crown (5 Shillings) struck to honor the Prime Minister, Sir Winston Spencer Churchill.
The obverse by Mary Gillick differs from the previous 1960 issue with the date 1965 replacing the denomination. The designer's initials, M.G., are on the truncation.
The reverse, showing a rather stern portrait of Sir Winston Churchill in his "siren-suit", was designed by Oscar Nemon. The edge is reeded. These crowns were distributed by major banks throughout the world.
Made in Nickel ....
Can find on eBay from $3-$15.
Cheers,
