Ebay seems to be going too far with it's rules and regulations. They now want to control offsite trading.
I have purchased many items that have been offered after I lost auctions. I welcome this opportunity to obtain something that I wanted but was unable to obtain through an auction. I have also made a number of sales to bidders that did not quite reach the reserves, is this a crime? Afterall, I already paid my fees. Now, eBay is telling me that I can no longer do this. It seems to be against my rights, and as far as I'm concerned they can go screw themselves.
They claim that this does not harm them significantly with loss of revenue. I believe that the loss of revenue is the only reason they are upset. Do you really think they care about us on a personal level? C'mon...
Considering all of their new charges and banners selling other services, eBay has become nothing more than a huge corporate money machine. The "community" they so proudly speak of must abide by their dictatorial policies. When was the last time eBay asked you to vote on what is good for you? Never! Instead, they just keep on changing the rules to suit themselves so long as it helps the "bottom line."
Personally, I feel I could probably do better with my sales not being a member of eBay, tracking auctions and contacting losing bidders with the same merchandise. It would save me all those charges and commissions. But I'll stick it out with them a little bit longer. The rules are getting harder to abide by. Watch out eBay, you can only control so much of the internet universe.
