Because I know you've been anxiously waiting to see some neat match covers from Reno, the heart gaming in Nevada.
First off is this rare cover from the Rainbow Club Inc. Seeing it was only open for three short years from 1939 to 1941 the "r" word may apply?
Second is an even older cover from The Sierra Bar and maybe even rarer considering it was open for the year of 1936, seventy five years ago. This is also a great example of an early "rear-strike" cover from NV.
Third is an oldie from the Virginia Bar, lasting only three years from 1942-1945. Another old-tyme "rear-strike". I really enjoy the humorous saying featured on the inside of this cover.
Thanks to those who documented this fascinating part of US history
