To respond briefly to your last point,I'm not worried that a lack of slabs will have any tangible effect on the 2001 Convention. It certainly won't affect me, because I won't have any slabs to sell. I'm only concerned with what may happen in the future. If three years from now we have some coin collectors attending our show looking to buy slabbed chips, I would like the OPTION to provide them. I might decide it's not worth the trouble, but I want to be the one that makes that decision. It's possible the slabs could bring a little new blood into the hobby. Some of these people will become good collectors. If I am not mistaken, Archie himself used to collect coins. I think our hobby is strong enough to accomodate a change or two without destroying itself.
