WOW! That's some card capper there! 
Anyways, I believe that Engelhard used 5-digit serial #'s w/NO prefix throughout the 1970's to the early 1980's. This is when they started to use the prefixes to denote poured or cast ingots.
Yes the 7 oz. weight is a rarity, and may be a further indication of a more exact age??
