I cant begin to tell you what the last 6 months has been like. I said I would be off line for around 6 months. I was getting knee injections in August hoping it would help so we could go forward in doing something with my Partner's (Amie) back. The whole month of September we spent going back on forth to Rush Memorial in Chicago for all kinds of test. This is where my orthopedic suggested to go with all her problems. The outcome was not a pretty picture. It would be about a 14 hr surgery. The sad part my knee was getting worse. The first of October we discussed with our internist to have my knee done before doing anything about Amie's back. So we came home and I made an appointment to go in and see him. That night she fell and fractured her hip. I could not believe it. She needed a hip replacement. Sadly that put everything else on hold. After her surgery she went into rehab for 21 days. It was better for her. With my bad knee and trying to take care of the dog it would of been impossible. It really worked out the best. She got her legs very strong. Once she came home we sadly had to put Squirt to sleep. What emotional and physically month. We had no choice. I really thought his cancer was coming back and we could not take care of him like we did anymore. After that was sadly done Amie went through more out patient P/T. My knee was really in pain and once she was strong enough I went through and scheduled to have knee surgery. This was not a knee replace, as I did not need it. It was arthroscopic surgery for my MCL tear and another procedure called a lateral release. In another words get my knee cap in the right place. I had this done 2 weeks ago and now I'm in P/T and taking pain meds to get through it.

Now that I gave you all this info what is missing??? Amie back is still bad. She does not want to do anything for it right now. She wants to take some trips and not see any doctors for awhile. I don't even discuss it. I know she is in pain. The hip is still healing and her back pain is even worse.

I have not viewed much on the BB, but once in awhile I have time to sneak in and see what is happening.
