many casinos use fractional chips (0.25 or 0.50). Check the pai-gow, craps and black jack tables. It's usually prudent to check the chipguide websites for the city/state you are visiting to see what chips are used in the casinos. The sites are not always up to date with the latest chips, nor do they list which chips are now obsolete. At least it will give you some information ahead of time.
