I found that 99.9% of the time, the small & 'Indian' Casinos will not sell from the cage, not just in Minnesota... SO, I have to either find a table that is open and not busy and buy 20 x $1 & 10 x $5 and sort thru and find the best ones and return the remainder to the cage. When all the tables are busy, I get the attention of the pit boss and say I want to buy chips for souvenirs and found them always helpful... they direct me to a table and tell the dealer to sell me the chips... Even some large casinos will not sell from the cage and direct me to the tables... but in the end, I always get what I came looking for even tho it takes longer than just buying from the cage.
