I am not new to the hobby but new to the club and board. I have not seen a post from John B. at least in the last 6 months. It was an attempt at humor. When I first joined the club and started to post I was warned early on that my posts would be ignored and certainly not responded to unless I identified myself by full name or member #. I agree with that. John's post had neither. There are a lot of new members that have not been around the board as long as you and don't know everyone. Another reason to identify yourself. Just seemed odd. That's all.
