~~~ when a seller followed such a practice due to either additional examples of that chip coming to market or when the seller wasn't too sure as to how much they should offer the chip at, the seller would refund the amount the buyer paid down to the adjusted level. This practice, of course; was within a reasonable time frame -- such as I'm sure you're referring to... and not months or years down the road. I fully agree that the "take what the traffic will bear" attitude sucks.
