"There is no relevance of your post to this Message Board. While I enjoy, and look forward, to your World currency posts (they tend to not carry controversial content) today's post was not in that same vein. Whether or not you think it was racist is beside the point beacuse there are many people in this World that will receive it as being racist."
Whether or not he thought the post was racist is not beside the point. The fact that it wasn't racist is the point.
"And since it had no relevance to this Message Board, but you now defend having posted it, I will say that I hope your arguement does not give justification to others to post whatever comes to their mind."
Shame on anyone who dares to post anything here that isn't directly related to casino collectibles.
This site, from its very beginning, was meant to be a forum for open discussion on all matter of subjects among friends who share the common interest of casino collectibles, but in no way meant to be limited to just casino collectibles. Its very existence has been justification for people to post what ever comes to mind. I find it offensive that you think Greg would disapprove (by your statements) of this board being used for people posting "whatever comes to mind".
"While I had concerns about your first post, I have even greater concern for your justification (not what you said, but just the fact that you said it) and must now protest the posting of incitefull (and certainly somewhat insightful) stuff like this."
The most interesting part of that sentence is "not what you said, but just the fact that you said it". When someone is accused of making racist statements, not responding to such false claims might be viewed "by many people in this World" as a tacit admission that the false claims are true.
I really don't understand your responses to Mike's posts. Hypersensitivity maybe? Reality based - I don't think so.
