To All,
I have not endorsed any specific candidate for the office of President of our club. It was very difficult for me to reach a decision. You see we are dealing with individuals I like and respect.
Nate Pincus is a good man. Honest and a true collector. However, I cannot accept his position involving "slabbing" of casino chips. The "slabbing" issue is one of the most important issues that will ever face our organization. To take a stance such as Nate's will doom our club. This is my opinion but it does not and will not change my feelings about Nate.I like Nate and will always consider him my friend.
Jim Steffner is also a good man. I trust Jim and know he could do a great job but I cannot accept his position involving "slabbing". Jim your position is not strong enough. The people who want "slabbing" will stop at nothing to get it into our club. I'm sorry my friend but I cannot vote for you.
I am voting the "slabbing" issue as a one issue election. It is an issue I believe will destroy our hobby if not kept OUT of our club. The only candidate for President who has taken a firm stand involving slabbing is James Reilly.
I disagree with Jim Reilly involving many issues. However, where I am in disagreement I do not believe these issues I disagree with go to the foundation of our organization. In my opinion slabbing of chips does go to the foundation of our organization. It will in the long run destroy our club.
I therefore cast my support for President of the CC >CC to James Reilly.
Best, Jim
