Hi John,
... a gift to you from someone who cares to be creative and have their name, collecting interests, other hobbies, marked events in their life and many other things put on a chip AND are excited to pass them out to fellow collectors and friends to show personal things in our hobby and life. Free, yes, I guess so but just so you know, they can cost from about .30c to $1.50 each for those who give them away to produce. Some of us like to get one in return when we give one, but we don't mind if we do not since caring and friendship is more important than any value on a chip from a casino. Maybe that answers why I COLLECT PERSONAL CHIPS.
"More than a collection, it's about the friendships collected".
Collect them if you like, or maybe not, that is up to you but I don't think "free" has anything to do with it.
Have a great day,
Albert
