Slabbing, Is There A Market For It In Our Hobby?

If we are in agreement, as noted in previous posts by others. LE's don't require slabbing since virtually all of them are produced for collectors. As a result they never hit the tables anyway. Their condition would probably be accepted as new in the majority of cases.

If this is the case, this leaves house chips. Who in their right mind would pay a $10-$20 slabbing fee for a current 1 - 2.50 5 or $25 house chip?

That leaves us with obsolete chips. Most of these would be absorbed by collectors in the know. They would shun the idea of slabbing for most part anyway. if this is an acceptable analagy where is the market for this service?

Maybe I have to many [ if's ] but it seems its something we shouldn't lose any sleep over.
