I have noticed in a ten year span on poker-ring games-NOT tournaments that everyone rakes at least $1 more.

10 years ago it was very common for a ring game to max out at $3. NOW it's $4 and $5 and jackpot rakes as well.

This is why I never play a 2/4 fixed game as I beleive it is extremely hard to beat the rake if you are constantly missing $4-$5 per pot + $1 tip for the dealer.

I can still find very good DD blackjack in a few places in Vegas. Same rules as 10 years ago and in some cases a very good deck penetration, won't go into card counting etc. as there is plenty of information out there.
