I have been going to casinos for 35 years now and have always played table games, mainly BJ. Last few years I have started with live poker also. During those 35 years I have always been plus or minus $200 total for just about every trip (I am very conservative and risk intolerant). I play for fun and free drinks. The last two years I have lost money on almost every trip I have been on. I have been trying to keep track to see if I am losing more on Poker or BJ but they seem to be equal. I don't know if this is just the usual gambling variability or if I am doing something different. What is even worse is that since I have been going more often I get comped quite a bit of free play that I add into my win/loss computations. I know that the casinos may have tightened up the slot machines for the recession but I don't think that BJ or poker has changed very much. The biggest change I can think of is that the BJ table minimums are now at least $5 instead of $3 so losing streaks cost more. Has anyone else had this type of bad luck in the casinos lately?
