Gene or someone may know better but I think that the manufacturer may plan which version they use. It seems like if the original chips were SCV then the first reorder many times comes at the LCV or vice versa. They may do that in case there is a problem with the chips then they can be sorted out more easily for return. Just a guess on my part.
