Sandi and a few others have experienced some bad behavior by a few people (many I would guess may not be regular members) and it has soured their enthusiasim for volunteering. Please don't let that influence YOUR decision. Remember that Sandi had an incredibly tough job. The main coordination jobs can be difficult to pull off without trouble (convention chairman, tournament chairman, auction chairman, etc.) Most volunteer jobs are very easy. Like putting up or tearing down the room, sitting at one of the tables, etc. I have never had a major problem with the customers as a volunteer. But the public can get difficult especially when they don't know that you are only a volunteer. I would suggest volunteering for a short period and see if you like it or not. Remember that the convention is run by the volunteers and its success is dependent on them.
