Actually, I believe they die-cut the lunettes and other shapes, and then inject the other colors to make the lunettes. As for the half-colored jetons, I believe they are die-cut as well, then fused together before they get their final clear plastic coating. Of course, this is just my opinion, and that comes from close inspection of many plaques/jetons from different manufacturers including B&G and Matsui.
