Such Beauty!

I extend my thanks and appreciation to the organizer, Jason Skinner. I also say thanks to Jason for the bonus chips!! It is always nice to add to my foreign collection.

Being the the top dog in contests like these is simply a matter of luck, but there is an obligation on the part of the organizer to fullfill the requisite logistics (Jason did an exemplary job). There is also an obligation on the part of the losing participants to pay attention to the posted results (and emails) and to send off, in a timely manner, the booty won by the lucky participant(s).

Lastly, I believe that there is an obligation on the part of the winner to communicate back to the senders and organizer that the booty has been received and as an incentive to others to both organize or participate in future events, the simple act of scanning the booty and posting on TheChipBoard makes sense. Unfortunately (and this is the bad) we sometimes encounter participants, for reasons unknown, that fail to make good on their obligation.

While it is not my intent to point out that someone failed to come through, it is difficult to say Thanks to the others and not have a glaring hole in the list that then kicks off a dialogue of who, what, when and why.

So cutting to the chase here, I have given Al Plecas every opportunity to respond to my email and the posts here on TheChipBoard, to no avail. I simply do not know what has happened to Al, but from my point of view and that of TheChipBoard, Al has not be heard from since he acknowledged being knocked out of the contest on June 19th ( http://www.thechipboard.com/index.cgi/page/1/md/read/id/1017173/sbj/fifa-world-cup-sweepstake-1st-in-out/ ).

I certainly seriously hope that Al is OK.

But thank you to Larry David, Ralph Myers, Virgil Foss, James Stroud, Judy Wuerth, Charles Davis, Bruce Kay and mosy emphatically, Jason Skinner!
