After screwing with this ALLLLLL day I finally got it to work. I think the secret is to make sure that both routers are set up the same with the same network name. All it cost me was $30 (ULPPP!!) for a 50Ft ethernet cable at Wally World (where bananas were $.39 today). Unfortunately my local salvage place sold out of the cables a month ago where they probably charged $6.99. In any case, after living here for 4 years and fighting poor reception in my rec room I now have 5 bars of signal strength from my second router now located in the garage for easy access.
