To clean or not to clean???

I have many C & S, Embossed and Ingraved chips that need cleaning. What is the best way to do this?
I have cleaned many Clay Chips, but that method doesn't work on the C&S chips very well.

I haven't tried to clean the Embossed or Inlayed chips yet.

Advise will be appreciated.
