It seems that Pawn Stars has hit the road! Well, the local streets anyway...

In a cross between Antiques Roadshow and hotel gold buyers, Pawn Stars had an event at the Suncoast Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, NV. This was a ticketed event that ran from 10 - 4. Billed as a gold and silver (buying and selling) event, it was also advertised to bring in your collectibles and perhaps get a buying offer, or at least a story!

My wife decided to try this out and took two chuncks of concrete with embedded Pop's Oasis chips. (Remeber the Nevada Landing Dig for Pop's Oasis chips?). I had to ship them in from Tucson and she took them to this event. She was given a 'seller' number and when it was her turn the comment made was...

"Lady, the chips are stuck in the concrete!" She said, well that's the point. They said, "Exactly."
