I am going to Tunica tomorrow and then on to the relatively new Oaklawn casino in Hot Springs AR then back to Tunica. Today I get an offer in the mail for $25 in free slot play but only good on Saturdays this month. In Tunica you normally can't get a room on the weekends, the buffets cost more, they give away loads of cash or cars every hour and the casinos are packed. My question is a simple marketing question. Why not give away the extra slot play and cash and cars during the week to attract more players during the slow times? Things are so bad now that Hollywood has closed its only diner during most of the week. If there were more players during the week they could staff everything more evenly. what am I missing?
