WOW !!!!

See this information is not out there that mentions anywhere close to that cost. The Smashbook website says nothing about cost for self-publication and they take a royalty to 'push' the book. The articles said that since the product is usually already digitized that the cost of publication is less (but not free) than 'paper publishing. But if you have quotes of the amounts you mentioned, then I am wrong and the people I am dealing with are wrong and have lead me incorrectly. How do these ebook authors that produce limited-market afford to get their product out to their limited clients? The software I have been using to convert my Word and PDF cost me nothing and therefore when I publish, it will cost me the amount you mention??
