Everyone that joins the gets a "Welcome" packet with some info to help them start their chip collecting journey, including a past issue of the CCTN. Why do some come back year after year while others stop after a year or two?? That's the magic question, one for which I wish we knew the answer. Even this BB (more specifically, its heated & sometimes nasty arguments) was cited by some that chose not to renew as one reason that some are driven away. But look at how much information any chip collector can get from our members, with the illegal chips & associated information being provided by Gene Trimble being the best example. Some people get hooked, others don't...there's just no telling. All I know is that I started in for the chips & stayed for the friends.
