In Response To: Who's the Ivory/MOP expert? ()

Hello Archie,
I'm glad you bought this up as I was just offered a partial set and declined to purchase due to the extremely high price, these chips were originally discovered by Mike Carlo who attributed them to the Flamboyan Club in Puerto Rico, he actually showed me the box they were in and the other denominations which are the 5, 50 and 100, with different varieties of the engraved numbers. He stated that the box had a label which indicated Flamboyan Club but when I asked to see it, he stated he had lost the label. I know the Flamboyan Club did exist but whether or not these chips are from there is dubious. sad There were only approx. 25 chips in the box when originally found.
