If you look at my thread from yesterday on this same issue, you can follow my discussions with David and finally what worked, and it's very simple.

If you are using IE, go to you Browsing History and delete ALL of your cookies. You'll no doubt find hundred if not thousands of cookies that have accumulated over the years that you didn't even know were there. You don't need them. After I did this I went to My Preference, and using my profile password, entered my user name and email address. Presto instant cookie.

If you need help in deleting cookies, go to "Help" on the IE toolbar and click on "Internet Explorer Help". Enter "delete cookies" in the Search box, and a list of topics will drop down. Highlight "Deleting cookies" and press display. An instruction page will display that you can print and use. Good luck!
