I use to collect stamps. Then, I got into chips. I started selling some stamps to buy chips. Maybe someday chips will be replaced. I don't think people get into a "hobby" for an investment. They do it because it brings them pleasure. I know I still look forward to going to the mailbox and getting some manilla envelopes in the mail.
As far as value, I know I cant speak too wisely. There are so many other collectors that can talk about values. But again, value is in the eye of the holder. Anyone of us could walk into a casino with 10 $25.00 chips, and to a gambler, thats $250.00. But, we know we may be holding $5,000.00 worth. Like I said, my 2 cents worth.
