Father Flynn's church and a Rabbi Tatelman's synagogue were located on opposite sides of the same street. Since their schedules intertwined, the two clergymen decided to go in together to buy a car.
After the purchase, they drove it back and parked it on the street between the church and synagogue.
A few minutes later, the Rabbi looked out and saw the Priest sprinkling water on their new car.
Since the car didn't need a wash, he wemt outside and asked: "Father Flynn, what are you doing?"
"I'm blessing our car, Rabbi." the priest replied.
Considering this a moment, the Rabbi smiled, then said: "Oh, I see." and went back inside the synagogue.
Rabbi Tatelman reappeared a few moments later with a hacksaw, ran to the back of the car and cut off the last two inches of the tailpipe.
