I wonder what the experience is with other sellers on eBay regarding SECOND CHANCE OFFERS. I've noticed, to my surprise, that they are rarely accepted, if at all. In fact, I usually never accept them for whatever reason. Maybe the bidder is miffed that he didn't win in the first place. Maybe he feels that the item wasn't so good after all if the seller can offer a second one. I keep promising myself that I would never make a second chance offer again. (For those in the know, they are safe. You can always check out that the offer is legitimate by going to your "My eBay" and reviewing your messages and offers.)
