Gary's casino Tahoe 2.00 Bi. chip history

I had one in perfect condition, sold to Mike C. for 3500.00. I had a friend Herbie, who worked at Gary's casino in Tahoe from1976-1978, he was a bartender, and she was a cocktail server. Well in 1976 the owner ordered about 10-12 Bi. chips, and gave them to each employee. The place closed in 1978. So for years I asked Herbie for the chip, he wanted to keep for the fun memories, had no idea of value, nor did he care about $ he and Doris were loaded, they lived in Carson city, and he had the Bud. beer dist. for Reno area, and she was in real-estate doing good. Anyway, Herbie told me he would give me the chip when he dies. Which Doris did a 4-5 years ago, after Herbie passed. Now Doris has another Gary's Bi. chip, I have asked for, she is now in bad health, I'm going to see her on our yearly family trip to Tahoe Aug. 9th. But, the problem is her new husband, whom I have never met. I hope to be able to remind Doris I sure would like that chip, in front of the new hubbie, so when she passes, Hopefully he'll honor her promise. We'll see. They, know I'm a collector, they have mega bucks, so I'm sure she'll not want anything from me. Years ago, Doris was a hot Cocktail girl at the El Rancho, then a few other top casinos in old Vegas, when the mob ran the town. She has many stories, played with the biggest names in town, I'm going to try and get her to open up to me some stories Herbie told me, and I forgot details. I'll ask if she has some old casino stuff stashed away. Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to rip her off, I always ask how much do you want for any item, I know she will say nothing, but maybe she has promised to someone else, however she has no family left. She always has been a knock out gal, even in her later years. Now probably 80+ yrs. old. One last story Herbie was a cowboy from Az. and 50 yrs. ago while drinking made a bet he could ride his horse from Vegas to Reno in 7 day's. He won his bet $3,000.00. Herbie was a real tough guy. RIP
