The blue ish tint came of and revealed a bright white. I think some comes from actual play where the blue hits the white on another chip and scars it.Havent tried the new design but mine came minty, I still dont believe in cleaning most chips especially the older ones but tuning up a newer house chip a tad from time to time works for me, especially when the are all white like Hotel San Remo !
